Ento Women Network
a standard agro-processing project empowering WOMEN FARMERS IN GHANA
We are pioneering sustainable agricultural farming practices that encompasses the provision of traditional inputs, training on sustainable and climate adaptation farming practices, and advocacy for female farmers in the Awutu Senya West district.
Majority of female farmers in Ghana work at the subsistence, smallholder level in an extensive agricultural system. However, rural women, more than their male counterparts, take the lead in agricultural activities, accounting for 60-80 percent of the labor force. Furthermore, they play no or only a minor role in agricultural development decision-making.
